Facial fat transfer is a natural facial rejuvenation procedure that restores lost volume using your own body fat. By replacing volume that has diminished through ageing, fat transfer softens facial contours, enhances definition and creates a refreshed, youthful appearance without the use of synthetic fillers.
At Battersea Hospital, our consultant plastic surgeons use advanced fat grafting techniques to achieve natural-looking, long-lasting facial rejuvenation tailored to your individual features.
BOOK A CONSULTATION MEET OUR SURGEONSFat transfer to the face, also known as facial fat grafting, is a cosmetic procedure that restores volume to areas of the face using purified fat harvested from another part of your body.
Small amounts of fat are usually removed through liposuction from the abdomen, thighs or flanks before being carefully processed and injected into areas that have lost volume. Common treatment areas include the cheeks, temples, under the eyes, jawline and around the mouth.
As we age, natural fat loss contributes to hollow cheeks, sunken temples and deeper facial folds. Facial fat transfer restores youthful fullness while maintaining a soft, natural appearance because it uses your own living tissue.
The procedure may be performed on its own or combined with facelift, eyelid surgery or neck lift procedures to provide more comprehensive facial rejuvenation.
