How much larger will my breasts become?
Breast fat transfer is best suited to patients seeking a modest increase in breast size, typically around half to one cup size, depending on your anatomy and the amount of fat available.
Is the transferred fat permanent?
A proportion of the transferred fat establishes a permanent blood supply and remains long term. Some of the fat is naturally reabsorbed by the body during the healing process.
Will I have scars?
Only very small incisions are required for liposuction and fat transfer. These typically heal well and become minimally noticeable over time.
Where is the fat taken from?
Fat is commonly removed from areas such as the abdomen, waist, flanks, thighs or hips, depending on where suitable donor fat is available.
How long is the recovery?
Most patients return to desk-based work within one to two weeks. Bruising and swelling gradually improve over the following few weeks, and strenuous exercise should be avoided for around four to six weeks.
